Throughout your teenage years there is a word that I know you've heard plenty of times from the likes of your parents, teachers and mentors (basically anyone who has a caring interest in you)—responsibility. It's a word that some adults tend to fear and run away from while others face them head on. I can tell you from experience that you MUST be on the front-end of responsibility.
Being a person of quality who accepts responsibility will put you on a springboard to success in all aspects of your life. There is one component of responsibility that YOU MUST understand and be prepared for NOW—financial responsibility.
To get you on track, here is a book that I highly recommend you read prior to graduation.
Rich Dad Poor Dad
By Robert T. Kiyosaki

I didn't read this book until I was in my senior year in college. It not only changed my perspective on how I viewed money, but it taught me the advantages of acquiring this knowledge at an early age. You may not be able to relate 100% to Robert's experience (I couldn't relate neither). However, you can use this book as a guide to your path to financial responsibility. Your financial literacy acumen will grow, but I challenge you to share your new found knowledge amongst your peers. It Takes A Village!!!
